About Us
Our company was founded by a designer and cabinet-maker, whose combined skills provide a truly inclusive service for their clients. The aim of Chordal Green is to achieve bespoke contemporary design that meets the needs of their clients but also reflects their individuality. Everything we design and make is a one-off, from concept to finished installation.
At the heart of Chordal Green are Mark Rutty and Vince Glue, who first met at Buckingham Chiltern University College. Their interest in cabinet making and design led them to this highly prestigious centre of furniture making.
Mark
Before Mark started his degree in furniture design and craftsmanship, he had trained as an apprentice with The Dovetail Joint furniture company, and continued to work there throughout his studies. After graduation, he became the workshop manager, which gave Mark the opportunity to pass his skills on to apprentices, while still keeping involved in the more difficult projects.
Vince
Vince's career was led by his interest in interior design, and he was fortunate enough to become a kitchen designer for John Lewis. His five years with the Partnership enabled him to work on hundreds of projects and gain an extensive knowledge of materials, construction methods and project management. He has also worked as a freelance furniture designer for the Italian furniture company Bruno Rimini.
What we offer...
With our respective backgrounds, we can provide clients with a highly knowledgeable, personal and professional service. We consider that the term 'bespoke' can be misunderstood. It should mean something unique, a marriage of form and function, which perfectly answers the brief, and provides a lasting investment. This is the aim of every project we undertake.
